Common Questions

Q: When are you open and when do you close?

A: Since we are a Seasonal Resort & Campgound, we are open from April/May until September/October- Please see our Activities Schedule under Events for the most up to date information.

Q: What policies/procedures are in place for Covid-19?

A: All policies and procedures are put in place to keep the staff and guests safe for a happy, healthy season. Follwing the CDC guidelines, if you are fully vaccinated mask wearing is not required. Frequent hand washing is encouraged and there are multiple sanitizing sanitations throughout the resort. Housekeeping staff does frequent rounds of sanitizing of all public areas/buildings. For minimal contact between staff and guests, housekeeping will only refresh rooms upon request or after staying 4 nights. If a full room refresher is not needed, guests may leave soiled towels outside of their room and housekeeping will replace them with fresh towels. Additional supplies will be left in all rooms. If more items are needed they may be requested through the office.

Q: What are some items that I should bring with me to Sunny Rest?

A: A towel, sunscreen, bug spray, flip flops, and sneakers (for hiking trails) and a valid photo identification card is required to enter the facility.

Q: What do I do with my clothes? Do you have lockers?

A: We do not have lockers, so you may lock your clothes and valuables in your car.

Q: How do I pay for food, drinks, etc. when I don’t have pockets for money?

A: You may put a credit card on file in the office, and then give your first and last name at the restaurant, bars, office, etc. to charge items to your account. You may then pay however you would like before you leave.

Q: What if I prefer to pay in cash? How would I go about doing that at this establishment?

A: Sunny Rest Resort offers Gift Cards in the office where you can load a denomination of cash of your choice to the card. It never expires and is good everywhere at the resort. It acts as a pre-paid cash card. Tips, Food, Beverages, Clothes, etc can be obtained with this payment option. An ATM is located in Flasher’s Night Club.

Q: Do you offer massages at Sunny Rest?

A: Yes, massage appointments can be made in the office. 90 minute massages are $170, 1 hour massages are $110 and ½ hour massages are $70. Couples 90 minute massage is $310, 1 hour couples massage is $220, & 30 minutes couples massage is $140. Call the office for scheduling and availability. 610-377-2911

Q: Are your nature trails marked, so I won’t get lost?

A: Yes, you may enter at the nature trail start sign and then follow the pink or yellow markings on the trees until you reach the end of the trail inside Sunny Rest. It usually takes around 30-45 minutes to walk through.  The yellow trail is the shorter trail, and the pink trail is the longer trail.

Q: How do I get into Sunny Rest when I arrive?

A: If there is a guard at the gate, just give them your last name and state if you’re here for a day visit, room, camping, etc., and he will tell you to proceed to the office where you’ll check-in. If there is no guard at the gate, use the call box to call up to the office by following the instructions on the call box, let us know your last name, and then you may proceed to the office to check-in. Please have your driver’s license ready for check-in at the office for first-time visitors. Also, please have your license plate number available when checking in. All persons in your vehicle must present themselves in the office for check in with valid photo identification.

Q: Where can/should I be nude?

A: You may be nude anywhere you’d like inside Sunny Rest’s property. Nudity is required in the pool and hot tub, and encouraged throughout the resort, weather permitting.

Q: What if I get my period and want to go swimming?

A: Nudity is required in the pools and hot tub, and encouraged throughout the resort.  If you do get your period during your visit and want to use the pool or hot tub, you may tuck the string of your tampon inside (or cut the string) or opt to not use the amenity. Bottoms are not allowed in the pools and hot tub to keep everyone equal and on the same level as part of the nudist etiquette.

Q: Do I need a reservation to come to Sunny Rest?

A: We do not take reservations for day visits or tent camping. You may just show up at Sunny Rest (the office opens at 8am). If you need a room or RV site, we strongly recommend making reservations well in advance.

Q: I see that your rates are per family. What is considered a family?

A: A family is one or two adults or two adults with children under 18 years old.

Q: Should I bring my own lounge chair?

A: We have plenty of lounge chairs available for guests to use, however, on very busy weekends such as July 4th weekend, the lounge chairs tend to fill up quickly, so you are welcome to bring your own lounge chair anytime.

Q: I am staying in the campground and have trouble walking. Can I bring my car down toward the pool area?

A: Yes, you may park your vehicle in one of the parking lots near the pool area. We also have golf carts rentals which allow the convenience of easily getting up and down the hills.

Q: How old are the guests at Sunny Rest?

A: All ages; Our guests range in age from babies to 100 yrs old.
